    Artist Comments

Music to me is something very real, its more than just singing a song. I wrote this album for me and to give others an uninhibited look inside of me. Its very personal. There are several hard rocking tracks about my own experiences that will allow you to really get to know who I am. I also wrote a few crazy party songs for the album because having fun and partying is a big part of my life too! I grew up in Sacramento and I have been singing for as long as I can remember. My Mom says I used to hum in her arms as an infant. I started singing live in musicals when I was seven, sang the National Anthem for the Sacramento Kings and San Francisco Giants a few years later and was the lead singer of a band when I was thirteen. I played six nights a week in a band traveling in Nevada, finishing High School on the road. I even played weekends at a bar in LA to support myself while I recorded this album (we were called the Jagermeistros nifty!). I think the music business might be the toughest business in the world. Ihad a record deal with another band a few years back. We started to tour and things looked great until the label ran out of money! Im actually happy it happened, it just pushed me to work harder. My first musical influence was Annie (no shit) and I most identify with classics like Janis Joplin, Chaka Kahn, Led Zeppelin and Gladys Knight. I also feel newer stuff like Rage Against the Machine and Eminem. Really, I love anything that kicks ass and is real. I am so sick of a lot of the shit that is being turned out by record labels. It seems to matter more what you look like or if your sound is like what else is popular. With me, I promise, everything you get is real. I want people to hear my style and realize its about letting go and being you, not caring what other people think. Scream, laugh, drink, smoke, cry, whatever ... have fun.
