Steve Rowland has been working in radio for twenty-five years, using music as a window to explore issues in American history, society, race relations, human creativity, spirituality, aesthetic beauty, the nature of 'change' and human possibility.

He has produced award winning audio documentaries that have been broadcast nationally about John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Andy Warhol, Carlos Santana, The Neville Brothers, Patti LaBelle, George Clinton, The Roots, Frank Zappa and Leonard Bernstein. He is currently working on a 13 part series based on a contemporary oral history of William Shakespeare.
